Mikazuki, Parramatta - Review

Fresh sashimi cubes in a crispy taco shell with mayo and avocado

Mikazuki Parramatta is the place to be when you’re in the mood for casual Japanese dining.

The focus here at Mikazuki is on the food rather than the atmosphere, which is fine by us! Flicking through the menu, Mikazuki has plenty of delicious options on the menu. With a huge variety of ramen, udon, rice bowls and sushi dishes, there’s sure to be something for every taste.

One of the menu highlights at Mikazuki is their famous sashimi tacos. Think crispy taco shells, filled with fresh cubes of sashimi and dressed with avocado, mayo and vinaigrette. While these tacos aren’t very traditional, they certainly are tasty! Another top pick here is the chicken karaage curry - a generous portion of Japanese-style curry and fried karaage, served with rice and pickled ginger. The serving size is huge, almost enough for two people! We also love the Signature Mikazuki Ramen, a tonkostu broth packed with tasty toppings and chewy noodles.

Delicious curry sauce with fried chicken and pickles for dinner

If you’re looking for a mid-range Japanese restaurant in Parramatta, Mikazuki is your best option. Situated in one of the Western Sydney University buildings it’s easy to reach from Parramatta train station or Westfield. We definitely recommend getting here early, as there’s usually a line every night of the week!
