What is the Gundam Factory?

The Gundam Factory is an attraction location in the shipping docks area of Yokohama. The main attraction here at the Gundam Factory is this FULL SIZE RX-78F00 figurine which measures in at 6 storeys high! If you’ve ever built your own gundam figurines or watched the anime, you’ll know how impressive this is!

How do you get to the Gundam Factory Yokohama?

The Gundam Factory is located close to Yokohama Chinatown district. The closest train station is Motomachi-Chukagai and it’s a 10 minute walk from the train station.  You can also take the bus to Yamashita Pier bus stop which is right outside the attraction. 

How much are tickets to the Gundam Factory Yokohama?

Admission tickets for the Gundam Factory 1650 yen for adults and 1100 yen for children under 12. 

If you want to get up close and personal with the gundam, you can purchase an extra ticket for the viewing platform which is right next to the robot’s head for an extra 3300 yen. The viewing platform tickets are timed with limited slots per hour, so if you want to do this option make sure to arrive early to pick a suitable slot as they sell out fast!

What is there to see at the Gundam Factory Yokohama?

At 20 minutes past every hour, the RX-78F00 robot is released from its housing and puts on a performance - complete with music and smoke machines! 

There’s also a GUNDAM base shop which sells some exclusive items you can only buy here at the Gundam Factory, a little museum showing you how the GUNDAM robot was built, and a Gundam cafe upstairs with a great viewing platform to watch the robot!
