Western Sydney’s suburb of Cabramatta buzzing with life, no matter what time of day (or night) you visit. It’s a melting pot of great food options and we love visiting whenever we get the chance. Here’s our list of the top 7 places to eat in Cabramatta!

  1. Air Lab

Fluffy pancakes are definitely a trending dessert right now, and the one’s at Air Lab in Cabramatta are perfectly cooked to be light and fluffy every time.

We’re not sure how they make their creamy toppings, but we want the recipe! Almost mousse-like in texture, they definitely add an extra fluffy element to this dessert. You can watch your pancakes cook through the glass window, so you know they’re freshly made to order. It’s also one of the cheapest fluffy pancake option in Sydney!

2. Tony’s Bakery

One of the newcomers on John Street, Tony’s Bakery has become a staple for Banh Mi lovers in Cabramatta, open late until 9pm. The crowd favourite here has to be their crispy pork roll, and don’t forget to indulge on some of their famous pandan waffles while you’re at it! They take card payments which a huge plus too.

3. Vinh Phat Chinese Seafood Restaurant

Diners from near and far come to Vinh Phat for yum cha - you’ll often see a snaking line down the road at lunchtime, even on weekdays. If you want to try this yum cha institution, it’s best to get their early and be prepared for a wait - the dim sum are totally worth it though!

4. Tan Viet

This iconic Cabramatta restaurant is famous for its Vietnamese noodle soups and crispy chicken that will blow your mind. The menu here is simple and the service is lightning fast, since most diners already know their order before they even step foot in the restaurant. The soup here is not your typical Vietnamese pho - it’s a more nourishing bone-broth full of goodness. And the crispy chicken is fried to perfection every time!

5. Viet Hoa Hot Bread

Up late at night and have nowhere to go? Get yourself a supper snack at Viet Hoa Hot Bread, Cabramatta’s most famous bakery. Open all through the night, this Vietnamese institution known for serving up fresh and authentic banh mi rolls.

There’s a whole bunch of options on the menu, but we can never go past the classic pork roll. Crispy bread, creamy mayo and pate, trio of pork meats, fresh salad, perfect seasonings - we love it all! At $7 a roll, Viet Hoa’s pork rolls deliver on deliciousness as well as value. It’s cash only, so be prepared.

6. Valet

Keen to try some Asian fusion sweet treats? Get yourself to Valet in Cabramatta. Not only are the desserts here delicious, they also look pretty as a picture too! Our absolute favourite dish here would have to be the matcha brownie. With decent portions and a nice atmosphere, it’s a great place for a romantic date or catch-up with friends.

7. Butcher’s Buffet

This all you can eat Korean BBQ buffet frequently has a line out the door, and it’s not hard to see why! With a nice selection of meats, this place is perfect for a fun night of grilling with family or friends.

This no-frills spot for Vietnamese pho is a local favourite for its hoemstyle feel and affordable prices!

9. Hot Star Chicken

This hole-in-the-wall Taiwanese joint is famous for serving delicious fried chicken with an Asian twist. Freshly fried and light dusted with chili, these flat pieces of chicken have a bubbly batter that’s light and crunchy. There’s usually a wait since they cook to order, but it’s definitely worth the few extra minutes. The chicken pieces here are HUGE, so be careful not to over order!

If you’re looking for a spot in Cabramatta for a Chinese food fix, this is the place to visit! This restaurant near Woolworths serves up Chinese comfort food, with plenty of variety on the menu. The pan fried pork soup dumplings here are the star of the show - crispy, delicious and an affordable price!

12. Poke Bros

If you’re craving a healthy meal, stop in at Poke Bros and pick yourself up a delicious poke bowl. They have seafood, chicken and vegetarian options, with decent portions and fresh ingredients. Even though it’s not particularly traditional, we love the spicy Korean chicken bowl with mayo and kimchi - the secret ingredient is cream cheese!

13. Kaysone Sweets

Visit this family run Thai and Lao dessert shop in the heart of Cabramatta for their famous $1 banana fritters! Crunchy and sweet, these fried bananas are super cheap and addictive as a snack! They also have taro and sweet potato flavours too.
