Yang's Dumplings, Burwood - Review

Yummy pan fried pork dumplings at Chinese restaurant Yang's in Sydney

Tucked down the backstreets of Burwood, you’ll find Yang’s Dumplings, a dumpling haven popular with locals and visitors alike.

Don’t let the no-frills dining space, mismatched menu and weird location deter you, the guys at Yang’s dumplings churn out some of the best dumplings in the area.

The star of the show here for us was the pan-fried pork dumplings. These bad boys are made to impress, coming out hot and freshly fried. Who doesn’t like Shanghai-style soup dumplings with crispy fried bottoms? Not us!!

While we definitely enjoyed the dumplings here at Yang’s, they were oilier than other versions of this dish we’ve tried in Sydney and abroad. At $9.80 per plate though, this was a cheap and filling meal that ticked the boxes for us in terms of flavour.

UPDATE: Yang’s Dumplings also has another location now in Enmore, across the road from Enmore Theatre!
