Roji Monster Ice Cream, Burwood - Review

Delicious shaved ice cream and Japanese toppings

One of Burwood’s most popular dessert options, Roji Monster serves up desserts that are equal parts adorable and delicious. We love the cafe’s classic Japanese wooden decor, complete with a tatami sitting area and lanterns.

UPDATE: Roji Monster is permanently closed. We hop they open up again in another location soon!

The presentation of everything here at Roji Monster almost looks too good to eat! Once you to get stuck in though, you’ll find the flavours to be refined and truly Japanese - not too sweet, but still incredibly decadent. Do yourself a favour and go for the matcha shaved ice-cream, topped with those iconic googly eyes that the brand is known for. Each shaved ice cream comes with two toppings, and there’s plenty of Japanese and Western options to choose from.

Price wise, menu here at Roji Monster is on the higher end of the dessert spectrum, but we think these prices are justified given the beautiful presentation, quality of the meal and overall ambience.

It’s good to note that they have minimum order of one dessert per person, so keep that in mind if you’re coming to share with someone else.
