Ippudo, Sydney - Review

Tonkotsu ramen with chasu, eggs, shallots and spicy miso sauce and Ippudo Restaurant Sydney

Food court meals aren’t usually much to write home about, but this mentality doesn’t apply here at Ippudo! Situated in Westfield Sydney, this Japanese restaurant chain serves up authentic bowls of decadent ramen, just the way we remember them in Japan. Modern wooden decor, mood lighting and a menu full of deliciousness - what more could could you ask for?

Delicious ramen broth with pork and toppings

Ramen is the name of the game here at Ippudo, and it’s a game that they’re pretty good at winning! We’d recommend ordering the akamauru ramen, so you can enjoy their famous tonkostu broth and delicious chasu pork. For those with dietary requirements, they also have pork-free and vegetarian ramen options on the menu.

Be sure to order the cucumber salad along with your ramen - we never knew the humble cucumber could be so delicious, it’ll blow your mind! The pork buns here are also delicious and worth getting as an entree.

While the food here isn’t cheap, we think the price is justified given the service and quality. It can get busy during the mealtime rush, so be prepared for a line!
