Myeongdong Garden, North Strathfield - Review

One of our new favourite buffets in Sydney is North Strathfield’s Myeongdong Garden.

UPDATE: It looks like Myeongdong Garden is temporarily closed. We hope they open up again soon!

We stumbled upon this gem while walking around North Strathfield, not knowing anything about the place. It turns out this Korean restaurant is known for their wollomssam (rice paper rolls) buffet. We decided to give them a try - and boy we were glad we did!

Myeongdong Garden’s buffet has a huge variety of fresh vegetables, along with cold and hot meats for you to choose from. Each table has a bag of dry rice paper - all you have to do is dip the papers into a bowl of water, and make as many rice paper rolls as you like. They have also have a delicious Korean dipping sauce to go with your rolls, which we couldn’t get enough of! It was a fun experience making our own rice paper rolls, and there was so much variety with toppings. When you run out of ingredients, you simply head to the buffet station and top them up.

All-you-can-eat buffets usually leave us feeling pretty heavy afterwards, so we were pretty happy to walk away feeling full but not stuffed in a greasy way. Definitely give this place a try if you’re in the area and want to try something healthy yet filling!
